Gavin Shepherd

Chartered Accountant (CA), Certificate of Public Practice (CPP) of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Gavin commenced his career with Miller Gale & Winter in 1995 and became a partner in 2002.

Gavin’s client base consists of a broad range of businesses throughout the South and North Island.

Gavin’s clients are well represented across a variety of business industries such as food and beverage, manufacturing, construction, retail, medicine and music.

Gavin assists his clients in areas of compliance including tax planning, business mentoring, investment and financial planning advice, budgeting and forecasting and business valuations.

Gavin has a particular interest in music and has a number of clients involved in the industry, including performance.

OUTSIDE INTERESTS

Gavin has an active involvement in a number of charitable organisations and sits on the board of several trusts in a treasurer capacity.

Gavin is married to Sonia and has two children, Ross and Brigitte.

Gavin is a keen fisherman, has recently taken up sailing and enjoys a good day’s skiing in the mountains.

Gavin is also a jazz pianist and performs in jazz trio and quartet formats from time to time at various venues around Christchurch.
